CASE STUDY · WEBSITES & DIGITAL SYSTEMS
Lombard Rally Festival
I work with Lombard Rally Festival on its website, driver entry tools and promotional content. My website work covers event pages, programme updates and the journeys that help visitors find an event and reach ticket booking or driver entry.
PROJECT BREAKDOWN
Behind the rally festival platform.
The need
Lombard Rally Festival runs a changing programme of historic rally events across premier UK venues. The series brings together legendary rally cars and renowned drivers, giving enthusiasts close-up access to historic motorsport.
The website needed to serve two distinct audiences with clear, reliable information: spectators looking for venue timetables and ticket booking, and rally drivers needing straightforward entry requirements and vehicle registration across the season.
My role
I work directly with event organiser Tim Jackson across design, front-end development, ongoing content updates and search visibility. Rather than a static, one-time brochure build, my role involves continuous updates as new venues and dates are announced.
I distinguish ongoing iterative updates and speed maintenance from ground-up builds—ensuring event information stays accurate, pages load swiftly on mobile at events, and user journeys remain simple as the festival schedule expands.
What I delivered
Dedicated event landing pages with structured programme timetables, visitor directions and clear booking journeys. Spectator ticket buttons connect directly to external ticketing providers (such as Ticket Tailor), handing visitors off smoothly without confusion.
For participants, I designed and deployed public driver-entry registration forms that feed into the team portal workflow, replacing fragmented email attachments with structured data. (Administrative portal aggregation and on-site features remain in active development). Alongside the web build, I produce on-site promotional videos, reels and event footage that capture the rally atmosphere for social channels.
The practical benefit
Spectators can immediately locate upcoming rally dates, explore what’s happening at each venue, and follow clear links to secure official tickets. Drivers have a single, accessible form to enter classic machinery and submit required details.
Behind the scenes, entry information is brought together cleanly for the event team, reducing administrative back-and-forth and helping Tim and his marshals manage driver communications across the rally calendar.
